nizations,
“These working men ought to be
whipped. They are no good,” and
then they say to the working man
through their touts who control
the laboring man’s organizations,
“These manufacturers ought to be
whipped.” So they keep them in
an everlasting state of fighting
amongst themselves. Why do they want the working men to fight the manufacturer and ruin his business? Simply because they want to take the manufacturer’s plant away from him. They loan him about one-tenth of the value of his property in order that he may purchase raw materials and pay wages to his employees upon which they charge him interest and if they can get him into a position, through strikes and other questionable methods, where he cannot pay the interest on their loans, they are then able to foreclose and get a plant worth ten times the amount that they made their original loan upon. The financiers force the manufacturers to do as they tell them to do or they withdraw their credit from them, so they threaten to take away their factories if they don’t set the scale of prices for the working men’s wages as they tell them to do. By controlling all of the different organizations, they not only can keep the manufacturers and the working men quarreling among themselves, which permits them to whip both sides as well as keeping the wage scale where they want it, but by controlling the merchants’ organizations they can force the prices of living necessities of all of the people up to a point where it is almost impossible for the average human being to purchase the ordinary things that he needs for a living. It is a regrettable fact, but the truth nevertheless, that the financiers are able to put their touts in the high positions of the laboring men’s organizations. By that method they can get the working man to hate the man who builds the factory and gives him employment to buy food and pay for the home that his family must live in. Then on the other hand, the financiers’ tout is enabled to take away that home from the working man, in which case he is double-crossed in both directions, as he loses both his home and his job through the crookedness of the touts whom the financiers have put in to manage his organizations. You never hear what I am telling you from this platform because those touts who are at the head of your organizations don’t want you to know the truth. If the people of this country should ever learn the truth, then it would be a sad day for the financier and his touts. But you are going to learn the truth and all of the dastardly touts on earth can’t stop me from telling it to you. Now your man, Lawson, who is for the people and against the most powerful bunch of international swindlers who ever lived, is a moneyless and propertyless man today. He could be a multi-millionaire any time if he wanted to. But he prefers to stand with God and the people as a penniless man rather |
