only to hand over their wealth
to them, but also to protect them
from each other. They have to
make the people fight themselves
in guarding the property they
have defrauded them of. So, there these two sets of big swindlers stand, threatening each other. The autocratic financiers, who use bloodthirsty bullies whom they call dictators to frighten the people into submission say that they will fight to the death of their last working man. Then the financiers who control the so-called democracies retort that they will fight back to the death of their last working man. But the financiers of the democracies are not so sure that their working men will fight until the last man. So they are not so anxious to go to war for awhile, as they are intending to put in their own dictators just as soon as they can agree among themselves who will boss the job. But in the countries where the financiers have already established their dictators, they can depend upon every working man fighting until he is dead because they are going to have men go behind him with guns and bayonets, and force him to fight until he is dead. That is the difference between a dictatorship and a democracy. In the democracy the men and women still have an opportunity to talk freely among themselves and to hold meetings such as this one to discuss their own affairs. They cannot do that in the countries where the financiers have established their touts whom they call dictators. After all, their dictators are but chore boys to them, whom the financier can put out whenever he wants to. But of course, he will never put out a bloodthirsty wretch who will use all foul means to keep the people in slavery. Now these so-called democratic financiers are only waiting to decide among themselves which of the local gangs here in America will have the authority to put in the dictator. BUT, get this into your heads, there is to be a dictator here in America soon—much sooner than the people have any idea. You working people, manufacturers, politicians, farmers, merchants, professional men and police permit the little, scheming touts of the financiers to set you to fighting among yourselves, and as long as you continue to do that you are easy meat for the financiers to take advantage of and force you all to finally take your orders from the chore boy that they put in as their dictator. They get the working man to fighting the manufacturer and they get the manufacturer to fighting the working man, and they even get the working men to fighting among’ themselves. They are able to do this because they have put their touts in the key positions of all of the different organizations, and therefore they pit one organization against another and thereby control everybody. They say to the manufacturer through their touts in control of manufacturing orga- |
