Their publicity stuff is worse than laughing gas for the innocents. Every time you turn around one of their touts tells you what to do and you do it with a giggle.
 The touts of the financiers make the people believe that they can get something for nothing by upholding the Interest Col­lect­ing Swindle. So the people get the notion that they can beat the swindlers at their own game. That is the cause of the people’s downfall. They think they can get something for nothing.
 When the people of the United States become intelligent enough to understand that they get nothing for nothing and stop this infernal swindling game and ABOLISH IN­TER­EST they will then be able to hold and enjoy their full earnings and not before.
 The financiers produce no wealth at all but they absorb the most of it. They do it through forcing the people to pay tribute on the money they use. This tribute is so large that it makes it impossible for anyone to retain their possessions for any length of time, no matter who they are because the scheme permits the big thief to eat the little thief. Yes, even the little cheat who robs the widows and orphans of their homes has to give up his ill gotten gains to a bigger cheat and then the bigger cheat is forced to give up his ill gotten gains to the biggest cheat. Sooner or later every millionaire in America will be eaten up by some billionaire who is capable of playing the game on a bigger scale. Thou­sands of millionaires have had stolen from them what they have stolen from others during the last ten years and then have had to commit suicide as their final payment according to the law of “Get what you give.”
 These big international swindlers have taken away from the American factory owners more than 200,000 factories during the last few years. The manufacturers thought they could play the game according to the Interest Collecting Swindle but found out when it was too late that they could not do it successfully. The big swindlers made the manufacturers believe that Capital and Fi­nance were the same thing. Direct Credits for Everybody teaches them the difference.
 More than 3,000,000 stores that used to be owned by American merchants are now run by the international financiers; they are crowding out merchant after merchant until it won’t be long before there will be no Amer­i­can merchant left.
