gun but the preliminary underground work has been going on for a long time past and hundreds of thousands of enemy spies, traitors and sabotiers are now entrenched in the most strategic position of the American Continent.
 The work of these enemies is to furnish their respective Governments in Europe and Asia with photographs, maps and reports of every detail pertaining to American industries, transportation systems, airports and military and naval stations, as well as, to try and block legislation enactment that might give strength to the arms of Uncle Sam to properly defend himself.

 An instance showing, one case of intended arson that came under my personal observation in 1917, just after the United States entered the first World War, is as follows:
 A first class mechanic was employed at the Lawson Aircraft factory in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and put into a trusted position.
 Just before leaving the factory one afternoon he left a lighted candle, surrounded by shavings, on the floor of an out-of-the-way room, arranged in such a way that during the night when it burned low it would set fire to the shavings and building.
 Fortunately, as I was making my rounds of inspection, after all other employees had left, I discovered the plot in time to save the building from being burned to the ground.
 Another thing I learned during the world war, was, that the paid tools of alien financiers will invest money in a concern that manufactures war supplies and then, as stock-holders, directors and officers, do everything within their power to retard its successful operations or wreck it altogether.
 Twenty persons, each owning one share of stock in a new company, by underhand methods can create complications and consternation that will result in the collapse of the organization.
 As supposed strangers to each other, these twenty tricksters can make so many false statements and complaints against the management of the concern that its entire membership as well as the public at large will take a hostile attitude and refuse to support it any longer.
 Yes, the touts of alien financiers, secretly and cowardly declare war upon a defenseless country before the actual mopping up work begins, by maliciously causing suspicion to arise in the minds of the people, through false accusations and in subtle insinuations against their leaders that leads to internal dissension and final subjugation by an alien dictator.
 The self complacency of the American people make them easy marks for treacherous schemers.
