So, as time goes on, heat and cold gradually re-lines the topography of the Earth, although during the past few thousand years very slight alterations have taken place.
GEOGRAPHERS have divided the Earth into two parts which are known as EASTERN AND WESTERN HEMISPHERES.
During the course of human events, it so happened, that the people of the Eastern Hemisphere, or, the Old World, as it is sometimes called, became over-ripe from degrading indulgences and sunk to such a low state of intelligence that they willingly accepted a life of slavery under the domination of blood-thirsty tyrants.
From time to time, however, there sprang into existence in the European end of the Eastern Hemisphere proud men, women and children who refused to bow and crawl to those ungodly despots. These advanced social thinkers pointed their honorable faces westward and settled in the Western Hemisphere where they built a New World for themselves and their descendants to live in.
Those great pioneers were not afraid to fight for freedom and justice, so they founded THE AMERICAN FORM OF GOVERNMENT as an instrument through which all men and women were given a voice in the management of their own affairs through laws arranged by their own representatives.
The basic principles of those laws were that all people of the New World should enjoy equality of opportunities; that they should all be allowed the freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of press, freedom of religion, freedom of politics, freedom of race, and freedom of self development.
In order that the people could have an emblem that they could look up to as a reminder of the high principles upon which the American Form of Government was established, they made a FLAG and, on June 14th, 1777, the Congress of the United States of America proclaimed the STARS AND STRIPES as the National Standard for a free people to glorify, honor and respect.
So, when people SALUTE the FLAG they merely greet it with a sign of welcome and show evidence of their appreciation for the principles that it represents.
Those persons who deliberately refuse to SALUTE the FLAG that stands for the freedom vouch-safed by the American Form of Government, prove that they are against it and that they stand for some other form of government. They, of course, are not entitled to the advantages, opportunities and privileges that the free laws of this country make possible.
Therefore, all persons now enjoying the hospitality of the American people should be told in plain language to either SALUTE the FLAG or GET OUT.
Any man who claims that the Governments of the Old World are better than the Government of the New World should be sentenced to live over there for the remainder of his Natural Life, as a punishment.
But, what manner of mortal is it, anyway,
