 That was but an oft repeated ease in which over-abundance having created over-confidence and self-importance was knock­ed out by the newer action of necessity and foresight.
 During the year of 1907, the writer owned and managed a League Base Ball Club. He employed none but promising young players for his team who did not drink, smoke, gamble or dance around nights. He told them that they were engaged to play ball and nothing else. He told them that they must play together as one team and not as a number of individuals, each for their own glory. He told them that they were to use foresight and out-think their adversaries.
 Before the season started, the expert base ball tabulators prejudged the writer’s team to finish the season as tail-enders, because there was not a well known star among the entire list of players. BUT, that well trained team of youngsters out-played every one of the other teams of self important stars and finished the race in first place. The old favorites were completely outclassed and displaced.
 Now, just what happened to that champion prize-fighter who was rolling in wealth, luxury and fat; and just what happened to those teams of self satisfied Base Ball stars with bad habits and individualistic cravings also happened to many over-stuffed nations during the past few thousand years—they were torn from their luxurious perches and forced from their top positions by well trained upstarts who had used foresight to adopt newer plans that outclassed and displaced their antiquated methods.
 So we find such a state of affairs existing upon earth today. The leading nations, in the fullness of their abundance and bad habits, have been attacked by lean and hungry nations of barbarians who have been preparing for many years past to catch them off balance, whip them and take possession of their lands and wealth.
 So far, the barbarians have shown most of the foresight and have obtained most of the success in this WAR FOR LOOT and those nations fighting against dictatorship and slavery will have to introduce some genuine forethought and newer methods if they intend striking the final knock-out blow that will decide, for the present, who are to be the Earth’s Champions among nations.
 Those in control of these Democratic and freedom loving nations were forewarned many times during the past decade that the blood-thirsty Dictators were preparing to war against them and particular attention was called to the necessity of newer methods being adopted in order to assure quick defeat of the barbarians when thus attacked.
