lemons. They are pressed so hard with incessant grinding that they haven’t enough strength left to read the writing upon the wall concerning their own doom. They don’t have time to learn how it is done and some of them actually blame it on to a bugaboo they call Fate.
 The financiers have certainly choked the life out of the factory owners in those countries now run by their Dictators.
 They are also choking them to death here in America. They get the factory owner between a pair of pinchers and then squash him to a grease spot.
 The financier lends money to the manufacturer to pay for raw materials and work­men’s wages and then he, the financier, puts the prices upon the raw materials, the wages and the finished products. In this manner he trims everybody, including the consumer.
 The workman wants more pay and the financier forces the manufacturer to give him less pay. Then, the workmen go on strike and ruin the manufacturer’s business.
 That is just what the financier wants because the manufacturer, being unable to pay his loan, is thereby forced out of business by foreclosure and the financier gets his business for the price of the loan that may be worth ten or twenty times the amount of it.
 So by such methods most of the A­mer­i­can manufacturers have lost their properties during the past few years.
 But a more monstrous phase of corruption has also taken roots in America.
 Different groups of financiers have already gotten control of the different industries, markets and banks and are now fighting among themselves for supremacy.
 These different groups of financiers not only control their own industries, banks and markets but they also control their own manufacturers’ associations, merchants’ associations, farmers’ associations, political parties and labor unions as well as their newspapers, magazines, screens, radios, libraries, schools and colleges. So, the financiers have not only gotten control of all avenues of publicity and education in A­mer­i­ca but they have now entered into a life and death struggle between themselves to decide which gang is going to put in the dictator that will terrify and ride roughshod over the American people.
 The worst part of it all is that they are going to egg the people on to whip and enslave themselves by dividing them into hostile camps and forcing them to hate and fight each other to a finish as they were forced to do in Spain recently.
 Of course some of these international financiers call themselves Americans and they were actually born in this country, but nevertheless, they are in league with international financiers of other countries and they would just as soon skin an American as they would skin a Turk.
 A financier knows but one game and that is, skin the people.
 So he skins you to a devil’s taste no matter who you are. In fact, he makes you skin yourselves and then hand ever to him your skins.
