standing together and putting this complete program into force
instead of allowing yourseives to be separated into different mobs
and fighting over petty trifles that mean absolutely nothing to you. The touts of the financiers started more than 1,000 different organizations since the Direct Credits Society was founded in order to split you up into separate fighting groups. Every organization took some feature from this Society but none of them said Abolish Interest. There was a catch in every one of them to skin the people. In most cases they made their dupes pay an initiation fee and monthly or yearly dues—mostly monthly dues because most of them burst within a year. Some of these organizations get your fees and dues one way and some another, but everybody is forced to quarrel, including the touts who fight among themselves over the possession of the fees and dues. The Direct Credits Society has no fees or dues. Officers of this Society chip in to meet the running expenses and that keeps the slickers out as there is nothing for them to get their slippery fingers upon. The people have reached the stage where they must decide whether they will stand together on an honest platform and enjoy a purchasing power equal to their productive power that will give Justice to Everybody, as outlined in the Lawson Literature or whether they will continue to be split up into conflicting parts by the advice of the touts who lead them into the trap of the financier who swindles them out of everything and then enslaves them. The people have gotten to the point where they must decide whether they will stand up with the American form of Government or lay down to a Dictator put in by the Alien Financiers. You ask what has the American form of Government done for the people? Well it gave to the people the right of free speech, free press, free politics, civil government, police protection, state rights and private enterprise. Yes, under the American form of government the United States has become the richest country in the world. This country developed the greatest advancement in invention, organization and industrial enterprise during all history. The standards of living for the people are upon a higher level than that of any other form of government. Americans own more individual homes than any other people, they enjoy more recreation and amusements and travel than other peoples. Aside from little tilts here and there over the wage scale the workingmen and factory owners get along fairly well together. The ability of our American Industrialists in planning and organizing industry to reduce the cost of production to a minimum so that the people can enjoy maximum comforts at low prices is superb and deserving of praise. |
