for the American form of government it must also stand for politics and politicians.
 But right here let us assure you that while the Direct Credits Society stands for the American form of government with its politics and politicians it does not take sides in any of the different issues brought out by the different political parties.
 The Direct Credits Society is purely an economic organization. It does not interfere with the people’s political affiliations. Neither does it interfere with the people’s religious or race affiliations in any way whatsoever.
 The Direct Credits Society wants to give the people an Economic square deal in which everybody will receive a purchasing power equal to their productive power that will give justice to everybody and harm nobody.
 The Direct Credits Society is teaching the people that it is not the Politicians who are gouging them out of everything they earn but that it is the Financiers who charge them tribute for the use of money loaned either privately to the people or publicly to them through their government.
 When the financiers loan money to the people’s government, which in turn must be paid back to the financiers with interest by the people, that is done by taxing the people, not only to pay the money back again but to pay it with an additional amount in the shape of interest as tribute.
 The people are being taxed in many different ways and are swearing at the politicians whom they blame for the ever increasing taxes they must pay.
 In fact, they blame nobody but the politicians for their excessive taxes.
 The people do not know that the largest percentage of the taxes go to the financiers for interest on the money that has already been borrowed by the government.
 Why do the people blame the Politicians for their excessive taxes when it is the financiers who get the largest portion of it.
 Everybody could understand the answer if explained to them. But there is no way for the people to learn that the largest percentage of the taxes goes to the financiers, because, the financiers control most of the newspapers, the radio, and screen, the colleges, schools and all avenues of publicity and of course will not permit such information to be made known to the people at large.
 Therefore, it is an easy matter for the financiers to double-cross, or I might say quadruple-cross, the politicians and the people. This they do so smoothly that they now have the people hating the politicians to such an extent that whenever they are ready to say to the people, “Let’s throw those scoundrels who have been taxing the people, OUT,” the people will echo, “Let’s throw those scoundrels who have been taxing the people, OUT.”
 And then out you go — Politicians.
 Now, Politicians, when that happens you fellows are not only going to lose your God-given political profession but the people are going to lose the American form of govern-
