past, denounced the payment of INTEREST to the money swindlers.
The Police must stand by the American Form of Government, for once the Military Dictator is established in power he will train half-grown boys to take their places and will turn them against the police with bayonets. So you must single out the Touts and stop them before they lead the people into a deeper ambush. You must not let them fool you any longer. It is easy to discover a Tout of the financier; just ask him to announce publicly that INTEREST must be abolished. If he refuses you will know that he belongs to the financier, who robs the people and not to the people who are being robbed. If he says he wants to reduce interest or abolish usury you will know that he is a Tout and a slippery one at that. Direct Credits says that you must abolish interest or nothing else counts. So you must watch these tricky Touts who use ambiguous language to fool you. The Direct Credits Society believes in Law and Order and is ready to stand back of the Police of America in their noble work of protecting the people. The Direct Credits Society is growing like a giant oak. Its roots are being developed to hold up the tree, no matter what sort of an ill wind may blow against it. This organization is going about its work quietly. We do not conduct a ballyhoo campaign. The motto of the Direct Credits Society is to serve humanity, take nothing from anybody; give everything to everybody; harm nobody. Personally, I never harmed a man, woman or child during my life, and no man, woman or child ever harmed me. We get out of life just what we put into it, all things being taken into consideration. Doing my duty to God and humanity affords me great happiness. I sleep well nights because I have nothing to worry about. I own no property and am a moneyless man, so I am not afraid of the slickers cheating me out of anything. Whatever I create belongs to all of the people. I try to give to the world more than I receive from it. The world owes me nothing. I owe the world everything I can do for it. My present job is to teach the people how to manage their own affairs. To do this it becomes my duty to show how the slickers cheat them out of their earnings and then ride them like donkeys afterward. I have to show how the unspeakable Touts who pretend to be their friends doublecross them and lead them into the traps of the swindlers who rob and make slaves of them. I want to state here, however, that I bear no malice toward anyone, not even disease-minded money maniacs — the financier and his filthy tout — because everybody has been running mad more or less, owing to the horrible financial system under which we try to exist that is caused by the INTEREST COLLECTION SWINDLE.
