There is enough work in America for the next thousand years for everybody. These crooked financiers pretend there isn’t. The reason they pretend there isn’t is to fool you. Now, under Direct Credits we’re going to allow everybody to have a job. If any man or woman can’t find a job with some factory or on some farm or in some profession, we are going to let them work on public improvements. We are not going to allow a man or a woman to be out of employment if they want to work. When we give them a purchasing power equal to their productive power, they are going to get everything they earn. Then America is going to produce wealth as it was never produced before. Everybody will enjoy more comforts and luxuries. than they have ever known of before. We are not going to allow the financiers to destroy your wealth any more just so they can raise the prices of products in order to gyp the people out of everything they earn.
 Twenty years ago, 1 wanted you to take up the aircraft industry but your financiers stop­ped you from doing it. Today I want you to take up something even greater than aircraft—the upliftment of humanity—don’t let the financiers stop you this time from doing it.
 Now, it would take a month to give you a fair idea of what Direct Credits is. It took me sixty-eight years to be able to produce it. I can’t teach it to you in an hour. But if you will study the literature you will never follow those swindlers again who tell you you must let them charge you tribute for the use of your own money.
 You have little children. You have feeble old folks. Those swindlers would just as soon suck the milk out of your baby’s bottle and let it die for the want of milk as long as they could make a cent. That’s their game. Those swindlers will take the home from your poor, old mother and throw her out in the gutter. They will take the home from your widow and children as soon as you are dead.
 Our leader here says that more than one hundred thousand people have signed applications for membership in and around Milwaukee. We have six hundred thousand of them signed up in and around Detroit. I would like every man and woman in Mil­wau­kee to sign up one of those application blanks. When enough of you do that and follow Direct Credits Leaders you will win Wis­con­sin solid for Direct Credits. The Direct Credits Society now has a million five hundred thousand applicants for membership in Michigan. I want that many applicants for membership in Wisconsin as soon as possible.
 We need more officers in Wisconsin like the wonderful men and women we now have here. We do not need so many officers but must have good ones. The people as a whole want to be led, but they are asking for honest leaders. I promise that I will give the people honest leaders here in the State of Wis­con­sin and elsewhere.
 Did you ever see such leaders as we have? We don’t pay them a cent. What do you
