“You seem to be quite familiar with God and His plans-judging from your papers.

“Why does God permit over 1,700 diseases to afflict us?

“What is blindness and infantile paralysis good for?

“Why does God create the tapeworm and intestinal parasites and numberless other creatures that are enemies to man and beast?”

To which Lawson replied:

“Well, since you have brought up this subject I am, to a considerable extent, familiar with God and His plans, insofar as an understanding of God’s Eternal Laws are concerned.

“Anyone who has studied such books as MANLIFE, CREATION, PENETRABILITY, MENTALITY, LAWSONOMY and THE ALMIGHTY will have to admit that the author of such works must know something about the Creator and His methods of transformation.

“Of course, if one has not studied those books, one is in no condition to discuss their qualities.

“Now, this post card writer, who appears to be intellectually keen, takes the attitude that God is responsible for man’s defects.

“He asks, ‘Why does God permit over 1,700 diseases to afflict us?’

In answer to that question, Lawson said: “Because, according to Eternal Laws, God permits inactive creatures to perish.

“Yes, God allows lazy and degraded people to rot by their own choice.

“God furnishes every human being with a physical body, mental instruments and a spiritual soul for the purpose of self development. He furnishes an abundance of nourishment for every living creature to subsist upon. He also furnishes numberless constructive microscopic Menorgs to work within each creature’s body to build it up, make it grow and keep it in repair.

“These Menorgs, who keep the creature in repair and operate its mental and physical movements, depend upon the strength of the soul to properly guide them in the selection of the correct building materials required for growth, repair and self development.

“Air, water, sunlight and vegetation are the four main materials that man requires for his subsistence here on Earth.

“To withhold these materials in their natural state from human creatures makes it impossible for the Menorgs to keep their machinery in workable condition.

“So through the lack of proper materials with which to build and repair the different organs, muscles, bones, etc., of the body, they decay and the body suffers the consequences of improper functioning.

“Now if you asked that post card Doctor to give you the proper definition of the word disease, he couldn’t do it.

“So he wrote to Alfred Lawson to learn something about the subject. That act showed signs of intelligence. He evidently assumed that there was a man on Earth that could answer his questions correctly, although he wasn’t quite sure that Alfred Lawson could do it.

“He had probably waded through many shelves of books relating to the subject and had been unable to find anything but fanciful theories that led him into a mess of falsification that almost ruined his reasoning faculties.

“Well, to answer his questions with absolute facts as a basis to start from, one must have an insight to God’s Eternal Laws with a knowledge of such amplifications as densities, spheres and scopes that lead to the methods by which God magnifies, condenses, simplifies and transforms matter through a process of penetrability that makes it possible for Him to utilize everything without the loss of anything throughout all space and eternity.

“Of course, such studies as these were not mentioned before Lawson published his book, “BORN AGAIN” in 1904, when he first called attention to the subject.

“To understand such things, including God’s great law of MANEUVERABILITY, one must study the three volumes of LAWSONOMY which elucidate the Physical, Mental and Spiritual Manifestations of God. The first copyright on LAWSONOMY was in 1922.”

Lawson further said:

“To be specific, a disease is not a tangible thing at all. It is a result that is caused by the lack of right action.

“Action is life. Inaction is death.

“Every creature is built up as an operating machine from many different kinds of materials.

“The microscopic Menorgs that build up a creature from within, draw the building materials from without, from the different surrounding densities.

“The elements that the Menorgs extract from extraneous substances with which to build up man are too small for the human eye to see.

“They extract these microscopic elements from the food one eats, as well as from the water one drinks, and the air one breathes.

“They build one up into a working machine through the addition of billions of cells that are too small to be seen through the naked eye.

“To move your arm requires the concentrated efforts of billions of Menorgs working together under orders from one little Menorg up in your brain acting as the director of mental forces throughout the mental system of your entire body.

“Those billions of microscopic Menorgs could not secure the power to raise your arm unless you furnished the right materials in the shape of food and drink and air from which they extract the elements to do it with.

“So for lack of right action on your part that arm of yours would become paralyzed. It would not move at all.

“Therefore under such circumstances you should not blame God for such paralysis, but you should blame yourself for the lack of right action that caused it.

“One might as well blame God for not running his automobile when he has not put the gas in its tank for that purpose, as to blame Him for not running one’s body when the proper materials have not been put there to do it with.

“It is merely the inefficiency of the different parts of the body, caused by lack of action that the doctors refer to as diseases.

“So, if you want to be entirely free from any or all of these 1,700 diseases that the inquiring doctor mentions, you can accomplish it only by giving the machine God loaned you for a useful purpose, the right action through the use of proper materials that you put through the various orifices of your body.

“The development of a perfect body without aches or pains is caused by the balancing of exercise, nourishment and rest as fully explained in Lawson’s book, “MANLIFE.”

“Now the aforesaid inquirer asks, ‘Why does God create the tapeworm and intestinal parasites and numberless other creatures that are enemies to man and beast?’

“If the inquirer had studied LAWSONOMY he would have learned that God utilizes everything without the loss of anything. This is accomplished through the creation of numberless living creatures that absorb all so-called waste matter. So that lack of right action that causes paralysis and death to one creature furnishes activity and life to other creatures.

“So, the tapeworm, as well as all other species of worms that infest man’s intestinal regions, are there to absorb the filth that man generates by his degrading habits.

“The lack of common salt taken with one’s food is the cause of some species of worms that disturb man’s composure.”

Then Lawson continued:

“The so-called horrible cancer is generated through the taking into the body of decayed foodstuffs. The eating of meats that are reeking with microscopic maggots, a practice so prevalent these days, is enough to develop cancer, gout and many other deadening ailments within the human body.

“Eczema and other forms of skin diseases are caused from eating and drinking embalmed milk foods such as chocolates, cocoa and creams of various kinds and the lack of such foods as lemons, grapefruit, oranges and raw onions.

“The people of the world are fast deteriorating, through the consumption of vast quantities of embalmed foods which cause the lack of life building cells for both muscle and mind.

“So, to enjoy good health one must partake of food exactly as nature has prepared it in its raw state through plant life and as it has been properly cooked for human consumption by the heat from the sun.

“Asthma and various other ailments affecting the nose, ears, eyes and throat are caused from lack of proper breathing.

“One of the first things that a child should be taught is to always breathe through the nose. Under no circumstances should anyone breathe through the mouth.

“To keep the nose, ears, eyes and throat free from decaying disorders one should dip the head and neck into a tub of cold water upon arising in the morning and before going to bed at night. The ears should be allowed to fill up with the water and the eyes should be kept open and the eyeballs kept moving about within the water.

“To help develop a good, healthy body one should also take cold baths upon arising and before retiring each day as long as one lives.

“Lack of proper evacuation of waste matter, either in solid or gaseous form, through the regular channels, orifices and pores of the skin, lead to early decay of muscles and organs.

“Lack of kindness, tolerance and lovability cause hate and jealousy to take possession of the mental system which turns it into a seething inferno that makes Life a maddening existence that is impossible to bear and finally ends in physical and mental torture through the soul.

“The post card Doctor asked this question:

“What is blindness good for?”

To which Alfred Lawson answered:

“The internal Menorgs that build man up from a microscopic seed to his natural stature, constructed magnifying glasses in the front of his head through which they could peer into the surrounding densities and observe what was taking place in a natural way.

“The Menorgs built these magnifying glasses, which man calls eyes, properly, but sometimes man, through lack of proper usage, destroys their machinery and they cannot see what happens on the outside of the body.

“Such a condition is called blindness.

“It is pitiful to think that man would destroy his power of sight through lack of right action.

“Many times during the past human idiots have forced themselves into a state of blindness by drinking wood alcohol and by idiotic vices. The mental and spiritual sight is also wrecked by such debasing practices.

“Now, the people are not only going blind Physically, Mentally and Morally, but they have already gone blind socially, owing to their lack of right action.

“Social disease is the result of wrong action. The people of the world are now socially sick. They have been poisoned by selfishness. They have self-phobia and are beginning to Strangle on account of it.

“Abolish selfishness from the billions of people that make up the social structure and mankind will quickly recover a healthy condition, together with an ambitious strength that will soon lead them forward toward the greater work that God has planned for humanity to do in the future, as outlined in LAWSONOMY PRINCIPLES.”
