 After a quarter of a century he had helped to build up the entire Aircraft Industry. He was courted by the biggest financiers in expectation that he would enter into partnership with them in their schemes of controlling the growing Aircraft Industry.
 So as far as Lawson was concerned, he was all ready for future success as a multi-millionaire Aircraft Manufacturer and Air­line Operator if he would go along with the financiers.
 But he refused to tie up with the grabbing financiers and play their evil noney making game. He was willing to show the world how the Aircraft Industry could be made useful to mankind but he was not willing to sell his soul for the money that could be gotten out of it.
 After witnessing the terrible sufferings of human beings as a result of the withdrawal of money from circulation by the financiers, he decided to try and help the people by showing them how they could help themselves.
 So, during the year of 1931, he founded the Direct Credits Society, to head off a financial DICTATOR in America.
 This country was in a bad way in 1931 and for several years afterward, as the financiers had clamped down on everything and were about ready to make the change from the American form of Government to a dictatorship.
 BUT America has no DICTATOR yet, notwithstanding all efforts of International Fi­nan­ciers who now control Europe and Asia, through their infernal Dictators, to sneak one in.
 The Direct Credits Society is not opposed to any race but we are against the financial system that puts the people under the heel of tyrannical Dictators.
 Lawson’s clean cut program states that, inasmuch as the Constitution of the United States grants authority to Congress to “coin money and regulate the value thereof” that private financiers have no right to assume such powers and are, therefore, conducting their money control and wealth grabbing game illegally.
 So he notified the people that it was their duty to instruct their Congressmen to do as the Constitution authorizes by taking control of their money and credit system and stop all further illegal tribute collection from the people by privateers.
 Among other things, he notified the people that they must protect their freedom of action by standing solidly back of the AMER­I­CAN FORM OF GOVERNMENT and not permit a DICTATOR to get control of their country and their lives.
 So, in 1931, Lawson gave up his career as an Aircraft Industry Builder with its stupendous money earning possibilities to live a moneyless, propertyless and payless life as the people’s economic coach and he has stuck to that job, conscientiously ever since.
